Module 1: Gathering Inspiration & Preparation -Discover, Organize, Create, Equip: Dive into a world of inspiration as you explore various sources and learn how to curate your ideas. Organize your thoughts and materials with Christie's guidance, then turn your vision into stunning compositions. Christie will walk you through all the ways she finds inspiration – where to look, how to spot an inspiring image – and how to start taking the steps needed to turn these inspirations into art. She will even show you how to create your own still life! This week is going to be so fun gathering our inspiration and even includes a little field trip!Â
Module 2: Foundations in Art & Design - This module lays the groundwork for your artistic journey by exploring the seven elements of art, from shape to line. Dive deep into understanding concepts like space, value, and texture, and learn how to apply them in your artwork. Discover the power of Procreate as you create templates, learn to create thumbnail sketchbook compositions, and gain valuable insights from examples of artwork in progress.
Module 3: Color Theory & Mastering Color Mixing – While I do occasionally offer color theory and color mixing lessons, none of those will be as thorough and explanatory as this module. We'll go deeper into color theory & also into the meaning behind color and what it can mean in your artwork.
Module 4: Finding Your Painting Style – Every single one of you has a style and no one person’s style is exactly the same as another. Here is where I help you tap into your own unique style! We will go through all the different styles of painting that I love, and you will start finding your voice in the process. This is where you will really start to see all the possibilities come to life! NEW for 2025 - Christie will share 4 brand new hands-on painting lessons to model some different options you might like to explore!Â
Module 5: Creating Your First Original Floral - This week we are putting brush to canvas as we take our inspiration and put it to canvas! It’s going to be so exciting to see what you create here! I will walk you through all the stages - Taking your composition to canvas, overcoming the fear of a blank canvas, the "messy middle" and the Finale! You will take all that you have learned in the last few weeks and put it into practice.Â
Module 6: Anything is Possible - Income from Your Artwork - Art can be an amazing hobby but it can also be a way to make an income. In this module I’m sharing the business side of things. We will cover such topics as how to photograph and edit your artwork, making prints of your art, print on demand products, pricing originals, all my tips on how to run a successful paint party business, and how to sell your artwork in your local communities and businesses!
